Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Legal Advice Provide counsel to clients on all aspects of estate planning, including drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other related documents

Trust and Estate Administration: Assist clients throughout all stages of the planning process and throughout probate proceedings. Provide fiduciary representation and management of complex trust structures

Collaboration: Partner with client financial and tax advisors to create comprehensive estate plans that achieve the client’s personal, financial, and tax goals

Legal Representation: Represent clients throughout their probate court proceedings and other related legal matters

Compliance: Ensure clients adhere to all applicable estate and gift tax laws/regulations and assist clients with tax planning strategies

Relationship Management: Manage client relationships for complex estate planning and trust administration matters.

 

Qualifications & Skills

Experience: Eight to ten years of relevant estate planning experience

Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of trust and estate administration and tax planning for high-net-worth individuals

Licensed: Be currently licensed or be eligible to become licensed, to practice law in the state of Nebraska

Client-Centric: Targeted focus on client service and responsiveness

Productive: Produce high quality, efficient work product, with attention to detail and accuracy

Articulate: Communicate complex concepts concisely and effectively

Flexible: Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Autonomy: Take ownership of independent work and can handle appropriate cases with minimal oversight

Driven: Show initiative and seek responsibility
